My name is Dr Joshua Sanchez. I graduated from Western U College of Dental Medicine and did my residency in Upstate NewYork before moving back home. Hollister has been my hometown since I was 5 years old. Santa Cruz is home to me as I made so many fond memories as a child spending time with my family at the beach. When I moved back home I was given the opportunity to work along side Dr. Gilbert Grio at his practice in Watsonville. In that time my partner JoAnn Whippy and I welcomed a little baby girl and thats when I decided it was time to build a future for my little one that would make her proud. Dr. Grio happened to have a practice that had been closed since 2014 and it had maintained all its treasures passed down by Dr Lane Handerson, who had run that practice for 30 plus years till he retired and sold it to Dr. Grio. My partner and I took on the task of taking an outdated office that needed much love and attention and turning it into our treasured practice that I would have only imaged as a little boy spending his days in Santa Cruz. We did it as a DIY and are proud to say that we had so much help from our family so we know that family is the head of any endeavor you take, without the love and support of family we wouldnt be here today.
